I created QSO Tracker for my own benefit to help me keep track of the stations I was in QSO with. I like to use it as a scratch pad to make notes during the QSO.
It began as a spreadsheet but has evolved into this web-based version. I wanted to share it in case other hams find it useful.
How it can be used:
By individual operators to manage contacts and scribble live notes.
By net controllers to coordinate check-in queues smoothly and efficiently.
Over Timer:
The over timer is set to 3 minutes (180 seconds) to provide a safe buffer for standard transmissions. The timer border, LED bar, and digits will flash red during the final 10 seconds.
Button Guide:
QRZ Profile: Opens the station's profile page directly on QRZ.com.
Map: Opens a map box showing where the station is located, draws a path line from your home QTH, and calculates distance and bearing.
Speaking: Highlights that station's tile with a bright red glow and marks them as the current active speaker with an animated TX indicator.
73 (Rejoin): Greys out/turns off the lights on that station's tile to indicate they have checked out of the QSO/net. Click 'Rejoin' to activate them again.
X Button: Removes that station's tile from the queue list entirely.
What it IS NOT:
It is NOT a logging program. It does not generate ADIF files, log QSO timestamps into a database, or replace your primary logging software (like Logger32, N1MM, or QRZ logbook).
QRZ Credentials & Station Settings
Configure your home QTH or Maidenhead Locator so map distance calculations are relative to your station. Optionally enter your QRZ login for automatic lookups.
